Rugby – Warwickshire Direct
In May 2007, Cityspace was selected by Warwickshire County Council and Rugby Borough Council to design and install a network of information terminals as part of a Warwickshire Direct initiative to make council information and services accessible to people in Rugby.
Recording an average of over 2,500 users a month, five iPlus Points have since been serving the community of this historic town delivering on-street access to council information and valuable services such as job search, travel planning, local area maps, events, free email, BBC News and a print out facility.
“One of our priorities is to raise standards of customer service and access and this initiative is just one of example of how we are aiming to do this by working in partnership with others.
“The Cityspace kiosks are socially inclusive. Not everyone has a computer, but these kiosks enable anyone to find information about council services and much more.”
Jim Graham, Chief Executive of Warwickshire County Council
