Cityspace makes Sunday Times 100 top tech business league
8 October 2007
Impressive sales growth puts Cityspace at 55th top performing UK technology company
London - 1st October 2007 - Cityspace, the UK-based leading provider of urban digital networks, today announces that the company has been listed in the annual Tech Track 100 league, published in the Sunday Times yesterday, 30th September.
Sponsored by Microsoft and compiled by the Oxford research company Fast Track, the Tech Track 100 showcases Britain's fastest growing private companies in the technology, telecoms and digital media sectors. The table is compiled based upon company turnover between 2004 and 2006 in which period Cityspace recorded a 79% increase in sales.
"This a great accolade, well deserved by everyone behind the scenes at Cityspace," commented Marc Meyohas, founder and CEO of Cityspace.
"We're in the business of making cities more accessible by giving people real-time information and services where they're most needed. We've diversified significantly since 2004; building a proven proposition in delivering digital cities through transport information, services and ticketing, wireless networks and interactive media. We have continued to deliver quality products and services to the public sector whilst expanding within the private sector with projects like building a major Wi-Fi network in St Pancras International."
Since 2004, Cityspace has deployed a number of groundbreaking transport projects, including the passenger information and interactive services network as part of the award-winning Kent Fastrack development, the digital transport network for ftr in York and an interactive help point network for First Group TransPennine. The company has also diversified its product offering with broadcast quality display screens and self-service ticketing, while delivering robust wireless broadband networks for transport and local authorities.
Whilst the 2007 Tech Track 100 league was dominated by web-based business, including new success stories like Lovefilm.com, Cityspace was one of only a handful of B2B technology providers to show the required level of sales growth to feature in this eponymous peer group.
